The common brochure is an essential marketing tool for any business. Giving your company’s brochure a fresh look can make a world of difference to the performance of the brochure!
There are numerous ways that this can be achieved without spending a huge amount of money, including:
- A new fold
- A variation on the size
- Adding a print finish. For example, a spot varnish
Creating a point of difference will gain customers attention and, this of course results in customers spending more time engaging with your brand!
At Southport Printing Co. we print all kinds of brochures for all kinds of businesses. Contact us today to discuss how we can create a fresh, new look for your brochure.
Should I print a Brochure or a Flyer?
This is a question that we are often asked and, the short answer is that when the information that you are wanting to print does not fit on a flyer, you will need to upgrade to a brochure. This is a much better option than making the font smaller or overfilling a flyer with too much text!
However, volume of text is not the only difference between a brochure and a flyer. A flyer is flat and does not have a fold and a brochure has at least one fold that is applied during the printing process. You may say ‘but I can fold a flyer’ and yes, you can but if the fold is not part of the design and the print process, it would remain a flyer not a brochure.
Fold is Key
There are many options available for a brochure fold and the best fold differs for each brochure depending on the brochures content.
Brochures are commonly designed and printed as folded, double or single sided DL, A5 or A4 brochures and flyers, and custom sizes are easily accommodated. At Southport Printing Co., your brochure can be folded any way that you like either using one of our specialised folding machines or for a more unique fold, brochures can be hand folded.
No Limits when Printing!
Specialised or unique folding of brochures often means that the jobs need to be carefully considered for the print process – there is nothing worse than unfolding a brochure and it being printed upside down!
At Southport Printing Co. we consider the fold process and print accordingly to prevent such print disasters. Brochures can be printed either single or double sided and even upside down!
What are Pamphlets and what are Booklets?
Pamphlets are quite simply just another name for a flyer or a brochure. This terminology is used less often in Australia but when you hear this used, you can be almost sure that the person using this term is referring to a flyer or a brochure.
However, a booklet does have a point of difference. The key difference is that a booklet is bound rather than just folded like a brochure. Booklets can be bound in many ways including a simple staple through to a perfect bind. Generally speaking, when you print a booklet, you will need to produce it on a higher quality stock to ensure that it is more durable for the binding process. Our specialised sales team can assist you to ensure that you select the correct stock for a booklet or any other print job that you require.
At Southport Printing Co., let us design and print the vision that you have for your next company brochure or flyer. Our highly skilled in house graphic artists can design you a simple, clean look to get any message you have to market and our sales team can work with you to deliver the best value quality stock for your unique print job.
